John Oxley Region, Girl Guides Queensland

Girl Guides Queensland is divided up into what is known as ‘Regions’. There are 25 regions in Queensland.

John Oxley Region is one of the largest regions and is located in the western suburbs of Brisbane. Brisbane is the capital city of Queensland and is located in the South-East corner of the state.

The Region takes in eleven Districts (Local Areas), covering Walton Bridge/The Gap, over to St Lucia in the east, to Moggill in the West, and south to Durack, with over 600 members.

Due to the dedication, passion, and commitment of our Leaders, the Region has grown by 63% since the beginning of 2004, giving girls in the Western Suburbs a great experience of all that Guiding has to offer.
